About Lasting Impressions

Lasting Impressions began 18 years ago as a service business and expanded into retail 8 years ago with the opening of our first store.

Co-owner Jackie Baxter's background is Interior Design. She attended the Midwest School of Decorative Painting, the Chicago Institute of Decorative Painting, and has over 18 years experience in the faux/stencil industry. She has studied Mural Building under Jan Dressler and Lynda Mills, Faux Finishing with the Wall Doctor Pat Niehaus, and Pro Faux.

In 2004, Jackie joined an elite group of instructors who have earned the designation of Certified Stenciling Teacher (CST) from the Stencil Artisans League, Inc. (SALI). SALI is an international organization which promotes stenciling and related arts.

Co-owner Pat Baxter has been in the painting industry since 1983 and has been faux finishing and stenciling for the last 10 years. Pat has received extensive color theory training and has studied under ProFaux, Embellishments' Sheri Hoeger (The Mad Stencilist), and StenArt's Aimee Burgin.
